EHRClinic – Connect (McGraw Hill)    

EHRclinic provides you an opportunity to learn how to work in electronic health records through simulations in the McGraw Hill Connect^® platform. These simulation links have been placed in all of your MA courses. There are two types of EHRclinic assignments: Practice and Assessment.

Practice Mode

Try the exercise yourself with guidance (includes optional audio of the steps). Practice Mode is a non-graded attempt at the exercise. This allows you to understand the completion of the exercise in a risk-free environment. You can attempt this assignment twice.

Assessment Mode

Complete the exercise on your own without system guidance. Assessment Mode is scored based on the correct or incorrect information entered into the simulation. This assessment is graded and will be sent to your Canvas gradebook upon completion. You have only one attempt for this assignment.

 

Tips for success with EHRclinic assignments.

• Use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers to complete EHRclinic assignments. Before you start the assignment, perform a system check using the “Check My Computer” link in Connect.
• Complete all questions in the assignment. When a Practice assignment is complete, you will be given the option to “Repeat” it or click “Cancel”. For Assessment Mode, you must decide when you have completed the steps required. Use the navigation menu at the bottom of the screen to move to the next assigned question, if applicable:
  
• While completing the Practice and Assessment exercises, you can reference the EHRclinic Assignment Steps Guide. In this guide, there is a link to the steps to every assignment in your program’s courses.

 

You can also see the steps in the software itself, by clicking the “Show Data” box:     

• You can view your submitted assignments by clicking “View Attempt” from the results report screen.
• When you have completed all the steps in the assignment, do not forget to press the “submit” button. The assignment is not complete until this button is clicked. You have the option to check your work by clicking on the “check my work” button. Should you wish to stop the assignment and return at another date, you can click on the “save & exit” button.
  
  

Once complete, the grade will be recorded in the Canvas gradebook.
