At the end of your program, you will be required to create a professional career profile on the LinkedIn website, a business-oriented social networking service. It is the program expectation that you develop a comprehensive and evolving networking tool you can use throughout your career. Refer to your course for a list of required items.
It is highly recommended that you begin building your professional profile now and continue to enhance it throughout your program. If you already have a professional profile, you may build on what you have in place; there is no need to create a new profile as long as the content is related to your career. You may accomplish all of the assignment criteria using the free account, and you are not required to purchase a premium account.
The level of privacy you assign to your LinkedIn account is up to you. When you set up your LinkedIn account, be sure to visit Account & Settings and select Privacy & Settings to manage your account privacy. See the instructions below for how to manage the visibility of your account.

- To check and update your Privacy Settings, hover over your profile picture in the upper right. Under Account & Settings, select Privacy & Settings to manage the privacy of your LinkedIn profile.
- Then select the Privacy link at the top of the screen to view and manage specific privacy settings in your LinkedIn profile.
