This information will help you access and facilitate the Sigma Theta Tau modules. The modules are housed and supported by ATI Academy, a separate program from the learning management system (LMS). Be sure you review these materials in advance. If you have questions, experience any technical difficulties, or need general assistance, contact ATI Academy directly at 1-800-667-7531 or select the Course Fix Menu item to reach in-house technical support.

About The Program

Student participation in completing the Sigma Theta Tau Nurse Management certificate program is required in the NURS 490 Capstone Portfolio. Students are required to establish an account and begin the modules in NURS 440, completing the following 3 modules:

• Using Evidence to Guide Decision Making and Management Practices (8 CEUs)
• Human Resources: Issues and Strategies (8 CEUs)
• Legal Documentation and Defenses (5 CEUs)

Students should continue to take modules to complete the Management Certificate throughout their nursing program. Students will earn a certificate for each module they complete, and they must complete 70 hours to earn the final certificate. The final certificate will be sent to students directly from ATI when the required hours are completed.

Prompt students to complete the modules independently. They will be asked to upload their certificate in NURS 490RN, the Capstone.

How You Can Facilitate Student Achievement

• Visit the ATI site and select Create Account to begin. Use the following ID and password:

• Log on to the faculty home page at atitesting.com regularly to track student progress within the ATI reporting dashboard.
• Learn the features of the ATI Academy online system so you can provide user support for students. Students may also contact ATI support directly.
• Post an announcement encouraging participation in obtaining the management certificate.
• Refer to the facilitator's guide within the Educator's Resources.

Be aware that only the BSN students are asked to complete the Nurse Manager Certificate and the modules are only open to these students.
