American Career College-Ontario proudly hosted a pinning ceremony recently to honor the graduates of its Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program. The event, filled with emotion and pride, marked the beginning of a new chapter for these students as they embarked on their nursing careers.
“The pinning ceremony is kind of a nursing rite in the fact that you finished and graduated the program,” shared ACC-Ontario ADN graduate Andrew C. “You have your instructors and the people that represent the school say some lovely things, and then we get pinned by... a family member or significant other that’s important to you."
For Andrew, the experience was particularly special.
"I'm going to be pinned by my — I call her my adopted mother — her name is Darlene. She’s also a registered nurse as well," he said.
For those considering a nursing career at American Career College, Andrew offered this valuable advice: "Remember, it’s only 20 months. Once you're done, you're done, and you’re going to be a registered nurse. The flexibility of nursing is incredible. You can adjust your work schedule based on your financial needs, and that’s one of the things that makes this career so rewarding."
ACC’s ADN program is available at the Los Angeles and Ontario campuses.
